In 1979, during the Iran hostage crisis, Americans were held captive in Tehran. At the time, a T shirt depicting Mickey Mouse flipping his middle finger with the caption “Hey, Iran!” circulated widely, reflecting the anger and pop culture response in the United States. This design flips that message back toward the same regime.
